Saguaro Seeds takes pride in giving our customers a seamless experience from start to finish. Our team is committed to fostering valuable relationships and producing high-quality products. And by investing more into our people and into our facility’s capabilities, we are creating a winning environment.
Saguaro Seeds has its foundational roots in Monette Farms, a Canadian-based farming operation, specializing in legume, cereal grain, and oilseed production. With decades of experience, Monette Farms has continually pushed the boundaries of producing high-quality food efficiently and sustainably. As Monette Farms was looking to further expand their growing operations into Arizona, Saguaro Seeds was born — operating, managing, and marketing from the facility previously known as Southwest Processors Exchange. With the backing and experience of Monette Farms, Saguaro Seeds delivers on our promise of organizational trust and transparency.
Jacob J. Hansen
Plant Manager and Marketing
Jake is our company’s Plant Manager. He comes to Saguaro Seeds from southern Idaho. Having been born and raised on his family’s fourth-generation farming operation, he learned that honorable work and responsible stewardship are indispensable daily practices. Jake studied Economics and Educational Psychology and brings a wealth of knowledge and background in marketing, commodity processing, seed propagation, and operational management. We’re delighted to have him aboard. Jake is happily married and has four incredible children.
Jorge A. Espinoza
Jorge is our Plant Foreman. He has worked in food processing for seven years, and has an intimate understanding of our machines. Jorge has worked tirelessly to learn and refine the skills necessary to process high quality products. Above all, he and his team care. Because of that, they are our company’s foundation and we’re thankful for their work ethic and integrity.
Teri M. Turner
Office Supervisor and Document Controller
Teri is primarily our Document Controller, but her skill set covers a wide array of operations. She worked for Southwest Processors Exchange for four years where she adeptly handled a multitude of responsibilities before joining Saguaro Seeds. Growing up in a farm family, Teri learned early how crops are grown and harvested. Since moving to Arizona in 1984, Teri has gained extensive experience in Quality Control, Logistics, and Customer Relations. She is HACCP trained and certified, and is a key voice in decision-making processes. We’re grateful to have her on our team.
